Dickinson was sentenced to 2 years probation and a $550 fine. She stated that she didn’t know what she did was against the law.

A Logan County mother facing charges after allegedly allowing her 10-year-old son to receive a permanent tattoo by a 16-year-old is due in court Friday morning for a change of plea hearing, according to court records.

Nikki Dickinson, 34, previously entered a not guilty plea on a charge of child endangering.
The charges were filed after police investigated a viral Facebook video of the teen tattooing the 10-year-old.

The 16-year-old tattoo artist is also facing two misdemeanor charges for the incident.

One count of the delinquency charge against the 16-year-old artist involves the sterilization of equipment. The other count accuses him of violating safety and sanitation standards, according to court record.
According to Ohio law, it is illegal to tattoo a child unless the parent gives consent. But, police said, tattoos must be done in a safe and sanitary environment.
