Man accused of B&E after police say he entered Dayton motel through window

A man was arrested on a felony charge of breaking and entering at a Dayton motel after they said he climbed through an unlocked window Wednesday morning.

According to a Dayton police report, 61-year-old Steven Westfall tried to stay at the Plaza Motel in the 1700 block of Stanley Avenue without paying.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 1 a.m. on a breaking-and-entering complaint after someone at the motel reported seeing a man climb through a window to one of the rooms.

Westfall was arrested on charges of illegal conveyance of a weapon and possession of a drug abuse instrument as well.
