Under the proposal, Lion has agreed to create about 75 full-time jobs in the city in the next three years, which have an average salary of $24,500, city documents show.
The city’s contribution would help with renovating the facility and the purchase of machinery, furniture and equipment.
Lion sells protective gear, training and inspection services and emergency training equipment, props and structures.

The company says it has built some of the largest first-responder training facilities in the world.
In 2013, this newspaper reported that Lion has about 1,000 employees worldwide, including about 130 locally. The company reported having annual revenues north of $100 million.
