Looking for a job? Springfield’s biggest employer hiring 80 workers

Mercy Health-Springfield will host open interviews for about 80 full- and part-time positions at a job fair next week.

A hiring event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at the Kroc Center, 1000 N. Keowee St. in Dayton. Mercy Health-Springfield is looking to fill about 40 registered nurse positions in units that include surgical, intensive care, the emergency department and behavioral health.

Mercy also wants to fill 40 non-nursing positions, with roles available for respiratory therapists, speech language pathologists, physical therapists, certified occupational therapy assistants, medical technologists, scrub technicians, radiology technicians, telemetry technicians, phlebotomists, case managers, licensed social workers, nursing assistants, behavioral health technicians and dietary and environmental services staff.

Nurse applicants should be graduates of state-approved nursing schools and hold current RN license. Applicants with their BSN are preferred, according to information from the company. Hiring managers will be on site and salaries will be based on experience. Candidates are encouraged to bring resumes to the event.
